Biography:Editor, Cricketer magazine 1921-62; cricket writer for Morning Post 1921-32, Daily Telegraph 1933. 1934. Author of 18 books on cricket. MCC deputy secretary 1939-45, president 1950-51. Appointed MBE 1919 for military services; knighted in 1937 Coronation Honours for services to cricket.
