Player: | HT Waters |
Huw Waters is a highly promising seam bowler who has progressed from club cricket with Newport CC and Usk CC to a place initially in the Glamorgan Academy, then the county`s 1st XI, and also the England Under 19 side.

He initially attended Llantarnam CS where he came under the watchful eye of former Glamorgan seamer Stuart Harrison the father of David and Adam before taking his A-levels at Monmouth School.
In 2003 Waters made his debut for the Glamorgan 2nd XI side, and in 2004 he made his debut for the Wales Minor County side. In July 2005 Waters was drafted into Glamorgan's 1st XI squad following some excellent performances with the new ball for the county's 2nd XI and the Wales Minor Counties team, which included a six wicket haul against Cornwall at Camborne.
Waters impressed many judges with his admirable control, and he was deservedly included in the England Under 19 squad both for the winter tour to Bangladesh, and the Youth World Cup in Sri Lanka. His selection for the winter tours meant that he deferred his degree course at Oxford Brookes University until the autumn of 2006, and by the time that he goes up to oxford, he should have further experience of Championship cricket under his belt, as well as further appearances for the England Under 19 team.
